In collaboration with landscape architects Black Beetle, The Blueprint have been commissioned by Holdmark Property Group to conduct detailed design, manufacture and delivery of a series of public art sculptures that will inhabit the grounds of the large-scale waterfront residential development, Shepherds Bay. Each installation is inspired by coastal life of the local area and includes local sandstone supplied by Bondi Stone.
The first installation completed in February 2018 is a set of abstract stylised cubes stacked on top of each other.
Following that we delivered seven sculptures ranging in different heights up to 6 metres that draw their inspiration from the shapes of boats. The 6 sculptures were craned up 6 storeys to stand sporadically in a communal landing area. Our latest installation is a series of large oyster shaped sculptures which sit quietly on the resident’s lawn area. The large 2.8 tonne sandstone pieces were carved as one piece by Gosford Quarry.
