Loftus Lane is part of Quay Quarter Sydney, a major rejuvenation of the Circular Quay area, intended to transform the area into “the gateway to Sydney”.
The development undertaken by Richard Crookes Constructions consists of 5 buildings; including the refurbishment of 2 heritage listed buildings & the construction of 3 new buildings, varying in size from 8 to 14 storeys comprised of public realm, retail, office, amenities & apartments.
Collaborating with the project team we are delivering a series of features in the public realm including 30 custom fabricated aged brass window surrounds, arcade entry feature gates, Interpretive signage & a central laneway ceiling artwork, working with Wiradjuri/Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones, one of the most celebrated contemporary Indigenous artists working today.
Our studio worked through detail design, prototyping, engineering & documentation to ensure all of the features fit the design intent.
